There is a Toque Creek near me. Also pronounced tewk.
Likely named by some balding Acadian in the 18th century. (The old French in the US Midwest were largely French Canadians, 18th century voyageurs who took a left turn at the Mississippi and drifted downstream, found out it was warmer here, and decided to stay.)
