Fox News commentator John Gibson says we (and by "we," he apparently means WASPs) should have more children.

Summary: On The Big Story, John Gibson urged viewers to "[d]o your duty. Make more babies," because he had found out, from a recently released report, that nearly half of all children under the age of five in the United States are minorities. Gibson added: "You know what that means? Twenty-five years and the majority of the population is Hispanic." Gibson later repeated: "To put it bluntly, we need more babies."

Personally, I'm going to have to disappoint him; I'm not making any more babies. Racist motives aside, it's ecologically irresponsible to advocate increasing the population.

Maybe I'll learn Spanish (after I get my Mandarin going well).

Well it makes sense evolutionarily. White skin is weak skin: prone to acne, melanomas, and wrinkles.

But my family fortune doesn't exist. There is no fortune to be tied up in "tanning bed stocks". . . besides tanning beds are bad for light skins as RescueMan pointed out. . . melanona and wrinkles but this is getting off topic.

My husband's two grandchildren that are half Japanese and the one who is half Puerto Rican are beautiful children. Also, they are very intelligent. His two children that produced them are from his first marriage so I can't claim any credit for the contribution to the gene pool.

I do have two children of my own and one grandchild.

Well, given the complete mess us white-skinned folks have made of North America, and the sudden upswelling of social democracy in Latin America, maybe the United States being overwhelmed by the brown-skinned people would be a significant improvement.

Hispanic is a cultural distinction, not a racial type. It seems to me that there are an awful lot of so-called norteamericanos of all colors who are enamored of Hispanic culture, food, and so forth. Culturally, we're already there, so grab a Dos Equis and a jalapeno taco and chill.

Hispanic means: Related to Hispania (spain). So that means hispanic is not a racial type. There are so many different races here that you wouldnt believe it.

Who knows maybe Mexico will get Tejas (thats the original spelling for TX) and La Mesilla (NM, CA, AZ, NV, UT, KS, OK, WY,) back someday.
