To add to the get your kids reading books..perhaps your teens would enjoy the Silverwng Series.
There are (4)books..Silverwing, Sunwing, Firewing, Darkwing...by Kennth Oppel.
A little Bat that get into trouble and his girlfriend Bat rescues him.
It been around a while, even half prive books. I've bought all four from Speleobooks.
