First diving in cave

Hi everyone
Do you know where was made the first speleo-diving all around world?
In 1912 Ing. Gunther Nouackh was made it into the Bull Rock Cave (Moravian Karst) in the Austria-Hungarian Monarchy (todays in the Czech Republic).

I asked your question on the British Cave Divers Group, and got this answer:

"The Darkness Beckons records an attempt at free-diving Buxton Water Sump in Peak Cavern in 1777. This is at the end of the show cave well beyond daylight so counts as a "sump dive" in your parlance. Standard equipment was in use in France, Switzerland and Austria towards the end of the 19th century."

Please do you know more info about "Standard equipment" diving?
Ing. Günther Nouackh have diving suit made by Westfalia. Using closed circle with absorber of CO2. Unfortunately, the suit is missing now. And information about VDT work are only sporadic.
