I live in Campbellsburg, IN. I have about 20 acres. The other day when walking in my woods, I noticed an opening in the bottom of a sinkhole. The sinkhole had been there since we bought the house, but now there appears to be a cave that opened up at the bottom.
I am assumming the heavy rains from Katrina (yes they made their way up to us), broke it open??
I am not a caver, but talked to some people at work. One guy menitioned the NSS so I thought I would post it here. I am not the adventurous type to explore it. I may pay the neighbor kid $20 to check it out or I may just try and fill it in so no one gets hurt.
Is there anyone from your group that could check it out? Maybe I could make it a tourist thing as there are some caves in the area that I see billboards for.
