I have a couple of those - they're still kicking around in the vehicle somewhere I think. Not the greatest, but at least they're cheap waterproof and not incandescent.

I am a dealer with princeton tec and love their products. having said that I don't use an apex. I much prefer the Corona (8 LED). it is truly waterproof, runs a long time and gives a good amount of light.

I have seen factory standard and modified apex's work great and have also seen them fail.

The PT Corona is my main light....we have 4 of these in the family. I think it's a really good light all around.
